It turned out she was asked to help raise money for a benefit helping bikers struggling with diabetes. Immediately she blended in. Growing with the family of D.R.A., she helped raise $2,657.00 for the benefit. They thought she did so well, they invited her back to help raise money for a few of the members who had got into a major accident during a ride in September 07. There she helped raise over $15,000 for their hospital bills.

To this day she is still a spokes model for the Biker’s Against Diabetes and the Desert Riders Association still ask her back to attend special events and fund raisers. But her gratitude comes from building a family she once never had.
