Hawaiian Tropics:

Evina started in Hawaiian Tropics not knowing what to expect. Her first pageant was held at a night club in Palm Desert. Invited by one of the promoters, she approached the contests thinking it was rigged from the start. Not that she had any lack of faith, but saw the potential Miss. America’s she was competing against. Oddly enough, she placed! Going on to the state finals, Evina was still new and had a lot to learn.
She kept competing, built relationships, a good network, and a sister-hood with the potential Miss. America’s and found out, she is not different from them. She learned everything on how to make your bikini stay on with duck tape to how to grasp the art of communicating.

Now, Evina has two titles under her belt, V.I.P’s Choice and 4th Place at the Laughlin River Run.

She will continue to compete for the 2008 year hoping to be a new face to Hawaiian Tropic 2008 focusing on Latinos.

But will never forget the sister-hood of girls she met during the process!
